About Soderberg
Soderberg Manufacturing has been serving the Military and
Commercial Aircraft Industries, as well as Transportation
Industries, for over 50 years. Soderberg Manufacturing also
works closely with top companies such as Lockheed, Boeing,
Northrop, and Sikorsky to produce the highest quality aircraft
lighting available.
Located in Walnut, California, Soderberg Manufacturing engineers,
manufactures, assembles, inspects, and provides support for
all product lines. 19,500 square feet of the 22,560 square
foot building are dedicated to production, manufacturing,
and quality control. By controlling all aspects of manufacturing
within one building, Soderberg Manufacturing has streamlined
the production process to eliminate errors and wasted time
in the building of our products.

 Soderberg
Manufacturing produces a wide array of lighting fixtures for
the aircraft industry, including interior and exterior lighting
for all locations on an aircraft. Navigation, position, anti-collision,
landing, taxiing, refueling, and general illumination are
just some of the exterior lights manufactured. Interior lights
include cockpit, reading, indexing, jump, and indicating lighting.
The Engineering department is dedicated to the design and
development of new products, as well as the continued review
of currently manufactured hardware. The Engineering department
is equipped with computer design capabilities and software
to allow for the 3D modeling of products and accurate design
to drawing turnaround.
Soderberg Manufacturing has a fully equipped machine  shop
including eight state of the art CNC machining centers, three
of which can cut in 4 axes. The machine shop also includes
several screw machines, lathes, mills, and punch presses.
All operators are trained in the use of our equipment for
the fastest part production time. Soderberg Manufacturing
also produces all of our own tooling, thanks to the master
toolmakers within our employ. Our toolmakers have a combined
tool making experience of 130 years, ensuring that all tooling
is made to precise tolerances in the finest tradition.
We have 8 assembly lines all staffed with specially trained
personnel, capable of assembly, repair, rework, and rapid
prototyping.
All units produced by Soderberg Manufacturing undergo rigorous
testing prior to shipping. The Test Department is equipped
for temperature testing, dynamic acceleration, pre-compliance
EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) and all types of light
output measurement, including: NVIS Radiance, Chromaticity,
Luminance, Spectral Radiance, and Light Intensity.
